The Caillon Bioscope ( 4.5 x 10.7 cm) is a rare, high-quality French stereo camera manufactured during the early 1900s. The combination of a Caillon Bioscope stereoscope camera equipped with Max Balbreck lenses represents a highly specific, early 20th-century French production variant.  There is no inscription on the lenses except the brand. Each lens is provided with a rotatable perforated diaphragm Max Balbreck (often inscribed as Balbreck Max Paris or Verve Balbreck) was a specialized Parisian optics manufacturer active during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
