A clean historical lens from the early Zeiss Planar production period. The glass is clean and the lens is in nice collectible condition. A rare and important early Carl Zeiss lens for collectors of historic photographic optics.
Designed for use on 9×12 cm and 4×5 inch cameras, Planar lenses of this type represented the upper end of the Zeiss product range and are encountered far less frequently today than many other contemporary lenses.
