The Leica Q2 Dunhuang Edition is a limited-release camera developed in collaboration between Leica Camera and the Dunhuang Research Institute. This special edition features a design inspired by the frescoes of the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, China, with the leather covering of the camera reflecting patterns from these ancient artworks.
Technically, the Dunhuang Edition mirrors the standard Leica Q2 model, offering a 47.3-megapixel full-frame sensor, a fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH lens, and capabilities for high-resolution stills and 4K video recording. The camera is also equipped with a high-resolution electronic viewfinder and robust weather sealing.
This edition is highly exclusive, with only 300 units produced, and was available exclusively in China at a price of 51,800 yuan (approximately $7,500 USD) at the time of release.
